This piece was the first sonata that I had ever written.  I was still in high school when I wrote this, as my original conception at the time was to have multiple pieces, such as this, prepared to have ready to be played at college.  These would all have been put in a group called the "Summer 2022 Collection"

In this collection, not only was this composition featured in it, but there was also a cello/piano duet, a fugue, a lullaby, and many other things.  I finished writing all of these compositions, but the only one I considered practicing was this one, as this piece stuck out to me the most amongst the rest.

The reason this piece stuck out to me the most was beyond the fact that it was the most musically dynamic and impressive out of the lot.  This piece also represented how I was feeling when I was anticipating the next big chapter in my life, that being college.  The time I've spent so far at college has absolutely been lifechanging, as I've learned many important life skills, garnered plenty of knowledge in my career path, and met some amazing people along the way!
